Dear KC,
I hope you
resolve your problem one of these days, in the mean time I will
search for other tire manufacturer. Believe or not I was looking
for some Goodyear Tires for my sport utility vehicle, but after
reading this story I will not BUY this kind of tires.
I can not
believe this company has put you to this task.
Good luck KC and I wish you a Happy New Year!!
Best regards
Alex C.
Thanks
Alex! Once BIG companies understand that us little guys now have
the power get the 'word' out, then we will all get the good customer
service that we all deserve. K.C.
Gentleman,
I accidentally
came across an anti Just Tires web site while shopping for tire
specs on the net. I did get a fair quote from our local Goodyear
dealer here in Oshkosh, Wi. I also got a good quote on Dunlop's,
Bridgestone's, and Kelly. While I think Goodyear is a good tire,
I will buy elsewhere if service is in question. So I must thank
this web site for making me aware of something I have suspected
for quite some time. My choices have narrowed down to three.
Keith W.
Keith
has a good head on his shoulders. "when service is in question"
is a very powerful statement. Many retailers beleive that others
will not hear about their bad service and for that reason it will
continue until everyone know. Thanks Keith! K.C.
Charles Dorsey
is a thief , and I am going to use every means at my disposal to
get him and his store out of our city . I purchased tires from the
buena park store and after they fell apart , the store manager Charles
Dorsey offered me a six dollar credit toward purchasing a new tire
. Need I remind them of their warranty . My tires had a 40,000 mile
warranty and when they fell apart only had 20,000 miles on them.
The next time that I went to their store Mr. Dorsey offered me twelve
dollars toward the purchase of a new tire at 100 dollars . I ask
you what kind of business practice is this? Mr. Dorsey has ripped
off many people in the buena park area and now payback is here.
I am collecting the names of people in our city who have been exposed
to the unfair business practices of Mr. Dorsey and I hope to have
the city council look into this matter soon . I warn you gentlemen
my list is growing, and I'm not playing with you people. Some people
will allow themselves to get ripped off but others who like myself,
will not be intimidated by big business.
WOW!
What energy! I have no way of knowing if this event really took
place and everyone that reads this should should keep that in mind.
As of yet, I have not read anything about this issue in the local
newspaper and if this issue is looked into by the Council it will
be reported here. It is too bad that this person didn't hear about
this site sooner and maybe it could have prevented this from happening.
I wish them the best of luck! K.C.
I'M SORRY
TO HEAR OF THE COMPLAINTS FROM YOUR CUSTOMERS AT JUST TIRES. I UNDERSTAND
THAT ITS HARD TO MAKE EVERYONE HAPPY, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOUR PRODUCT
IS VERY EXSPENSIVE. I 'M PERSONALLY PROUD TO SAY I WORK AT A GOODYEAR
FACTORY IN OKLAHOMA BUT I AM VERY DISAPOINTED IN THE PERFORMANCE
OF THE TIRE OUTLET STORES. MY OWN FAMILY WILL NOT BUY GOODYEAR TIRES
BECAUSE OF THE HIGH PRICE, THE TREAD WEAR MILES ARE WORST THAN ANY
OTHER TIRE, AND THE WARRANTY IS BAD. WE AS A COMPANY HAVE WAREHOUSES
FULL TO COPASSIDY AND THE STORES ARE GIVING CUSTOMERS A HARD TIME
ABOUT THE PRICE. GOODYEAR NEEDS TO GIVE SOME TIRES AWAY JUST SO
WE MAKE ROOM FOR NEWER TIRES. ONE OF MY FAMILY MEMBERS IN ALABAMA
WENT TO BUY GOODYEAR TIRES WITH A COUPON THAT GOODYEAR GIVES ITS
EMPLOYIES AND FOR HER TO FINALLY BUY THE TIRES I HAD TO FAX INFORMATION
THAT WAS ALREADY ON THE COUPON. THIS WAS A BAD EXPERIENCE FOR THEM
AND THEY WONT BE BACK. MEANWHILE WE GOODYEAR HAVE TIRES FILLING
UP WAREHOUSE. DOES THIS MAKE SINCE?
Hmmmmm...

Re. the
letter you wrote to the president of goodyear, is he still the president?
I need to write my own letter.
I went to
the Just Tires at 418 Township Line Rd. in Havertown, PA (19083)
to have a tire repaired, it had a big nail in it. I told the Manager,
Roland Foreman, that it was the front left tire and was told it
would take 45 min. so I went for a walk. When I returned I was told
there was no nail in that tire! I checked and relized I told him
the wrong tire..., OK my fault, I told Roland I was wrong it was
the front right tire and he told one of his workers. Well that worker
then exclaimed..." WHAT THE HELL IS THE MATTER WITH THAT GUY, CAN'T
HE TELL RIGHT FROM LEFT, WHATA DICKHEAD!!" ... now maybe I'm a dickhead
but I think that if I where a "tire-repairman" and didn't find a
nail in the tire that the customer specified I would check the other
tires. Roland, of course, didn't hear this and promised my tire
would be fixed right away...40min. later I was on my way home. I
later checked the tire and found it low! After an inspection I found
the original nail gone and a much smaller nail 4 inches away. When
I pulled out this nail out the tire went flat. When I later had
the tire repaired correctly I was told that the original nail didn't
go all the way through! So I guess that Just Tires pulled out the
nail and charged me $15 and didn"t see the other nail or they put
the other nail in. I can't really say what they did, but I do Know
that the manager is incompitent and the workers as good as thugs.
Yes,
it is too bad that customers are having to get educated just to
check the work of the so called 'professionals' just to make sure
the job was done right. K.C.
Hello!
I just wanted
to say as a former employee of Goodyear, I do know the frustration
you went through! It is very easily believed by me because of the
experience I gained at Goodyear. I have watched 4 store managers
come and go during my stint with the company and let me say this...I
would probably be there still if they hadn't hired the worst manager
in the history of sales! Goodyear has a painful past of screwing
customers and smiling the whole way! Believe me, I was employed
by Goodyear for over three years, I've seen it all! Anyhow, the
right way to deal with Goodyear in the end is simple: Don't go there!
The best way to teach a company a lesson is simple...don't buy their
products no matter how good a deal it is! Next time you need tire...go
to BF Goodrich or some other name brand! And don't forget...Goodyear
also owns Kelly tires and Lee tires too!
Eric
Those
are good words Eric. K.C.
hi I work
in a just tires in pennsylvania I find your story quite amusing
but all in all I believe this shit really goes on, and yes some
managers could really give a rats ass what your problem is. By the
way the consumer report links do not work try to fix them. I would
like to hear more so e mail me a
blackscorpion...
good luck
with it
I
did not edit the last sentence. K.C.
FIRST OF
ALL I WORK AND HAVE WORKED FOR JUST TIRES SINCE THE CHAIN OPENED.
IT IS NOT OWNED BY ANY ONE PERSON IT IS A DIVISION OF GOODYEAR.
I KNOW HOW WE OPERATE AND YOUR STORY IN ALOT OF WAYS DOES NOT RING
TRUE. WE HAVE FAILSAFES FOR OUR PRICEING AND WORK VERY CLOSLEY(SPIC)
WITH ALL OF OUR OTHER AREA STORES. IT IS PRETTY CUT AND DRY IF YOU
HAD YOUR RECEIPT FROM YOUR ORIGINAL 2 TIRES THE NEXT 2 THAT YOU
BUY MAY BE SLIGHTLY MORE BUT NEVER NEVER 30% SECONDLY THE OTHER
JUST TIRES STORE HAS THE SAME PRICE BOOK THAT THE OTHER HAS AND
BEING THAT THE SALES GUY DOSNT MAKE DIME ONE OFF OF HOW MUCH THE
TIRE HE SELLS YOU COST WHY WOULD HE CHARGE YOU MORE THAN WHAT THE
BOOK SAYS. IT IS VERY POSSIBLE THAT THE SALES GUY IS AN IDIOT GOD
KNOWS I HAVE WORKED WITH SOME BUT SOMEONE ELSE WOULD CATCH THE MISTAKE
AND CORRECT IT. I DONT THINK THAT YOU ARE TELLING THE WHOLE STORY
AND THAT IS NOT FAIR BUTT IT IS YOUR PRIVILAGE TO PUT ON THE WEB
WHATEVER YOU WANT. I HAVE PRINTED YOUR ENTIRE STORY AND MY DISTRICT
MANAGER WILL HAVE IT BY 02 26 98 AND I HOPE THAT THE USE OF SOME
OF YOUR GRAPHICS DONT INFRINGE ON ANY COPYRIGHTS (OK I HOPE THEY
DO) YOU MUST HAVE SOME KIND OF PROBLEM AND ALOT OF TIME TO DEVOTE
A WEBSITE THIS BIG BECAUSE YOU GOT OVERCHAREGED FOR 2 TIRES. AS
YOU CAN UNDERSTAND JUST TIRES HELPS FEED MY WIFE AND CHILDREN SO
PLEASE GET A LIFE OK!!
THANK
YOU FOR YOUR TIME

This
is a person that really believes in his company. He has a good head
on his shoulders and he appears to be a little upset at this site.
I can't blame him one bit. If someone were saying bad things about
a company I worked for and I believed my company was doing a great
service to the community while making a profit, I would be upset
too.
Also,
if my story wasn't true then why would I waste my time making this
webpage? K.C.
