Dear Mr. Gibara:
I'm sorry that
I have to contact you about such a small problem. I have already
tried to correct the situation with the Store Manager, Charles Dorsey,
at my local Just Tires and after a half an hour I got nowhere. I
then contacted his District Manager, Jim Scarboro, and after leaving
many messages with his answering machine the situation still isn't
resolved. I told him I would contact you directly and post my story
all over the Internet and still to this day I haven't received my
refund.
It is too bad
that your employees aren't concerned that a customer is going to
tell his bad experience to the world and worse yet they don't care
if I contact the president of the company. I didn't tell them I
work in the Publicity field and have many fax numbers to wire services
and news rooms. Sears still hasn't recovered after their story went
public.
My only problem
was that I purchased a pair of tires and wasn't told the price.
I purchased a pair just two months before and figured the price
was going to be about the same. After coming back home I looked
at my old receipt and found that I had paid $23 more per tire this
time. I called another Just Tires down the street and found their
price to be a couple of dollars more than I paid two months ago.
I talked with the Store Manager, Charles Dorsey, and explained that
it appears I was over charged. I said that it is how a customer
perceives the situation regardless if the company is right or wrong.
He said he can't help if my perception is incorrect. I asked him
to honor the low price guarantee but he wouldn't. I asked if his
District Manager would give me the same answer if had to talk to
him and Charles said the District manager would side with him.
If you think
you might have some influence with the Store Manager, Charles Dorsey,
maybe you can give him a call for me. His number is (714) 826-5550.
Or maybe you can contact his DM, Jim Scarboro, at (909) 621-3499.
I already told them I want $60. $34 for the over charging (or price
guarantee) and $26 refund for the road hazard warrantees that I
will now never use.
Sincerely,
Kevin Carr
