I needed two
new tires. I just purchased two new tires a couple of months ago.
Thinking the price would be about the same, I didn't think to get
a quote...
Well, after
they put the tires on I got the surprise. The tires were priced
a little higher then I thought they would be. I inquired and then
paid the money anyway because I couldn't remember the price I paid
the last time.
When I got home,
I checked the receipt and (you guessed it) I was charged about 30%
more than the last time I purchased tires. Knowing that if I called
the Just Tires outlet that I purchased the tires from would lie
and say that this was the NEW price, I first called the nearest
Just Tires and made sure it had the same owner and district manager
and checked the price.
Yep, you guessed
it again... the price lower. I called the store I purchased the
tires from and explained what happened. It took a few days to get
a hold of the store manager and when I did he said, "that is the
going rate". Then I told him the store down the street had nearly
the price I paid the first time. He had to call the store and make
sure. And as expected he called back and had some other NEW story
why his price was different (bla, bla, bla).
