All of this over $34. I really don't get why someone would waste their time and money creating this site. It appears that you asked to be burned. If you had looked at the receipt, and maybe realized how much you paid to begin with, none of this will happen. I don not condone the actions taken by anybody in this situation. I would never get tires from Just Tires or Goodyear, because I do homework. Goodyear makes a terrible product in my opinion. The price to quality ratio is terrible. There's a big bad mark for Just Tires and Goodyear. Had you done your homework you never would have been there in the first place. The fact that you change two tires at a time tell me something else. Either you don't rotate your tires as you should or your alignment is way off. Rotating tires is much more important than balancing wheels. If you wanted a deal from them, you'd request lifetime rotating, since it's extremely rare that the wheel/tire becomes unbalanced after it's done when the tire is first installed. Anyway, there's a bit too much pent up frustration here to bring to writing a web page. I would suggest you do your homework before hand, and pay a little more attention to the money going out of your pocket if this is what happens when you get burned. If you want to go to a chain store for tires, I would recommend NTB, if there is one in your area. The way to really hurt a company is to go elsewhere before this ever happens. A company like that will never care about you, or your few dollars. Hell, I order my tires (street and racing), and have them mounted at the local gas station. The smaller company is usually the better way to go in the automotive industry. Getting the word out about Goodyear putting out a bad product would hurt them more than a bunch of people complaining about one incident. I'm sorry if this comes off as bashing you. What this is meant to say is that you could be much more effective in showing Goodyear's lack of a quality product, and of course how overpriced they are to begin with. I could go on forever, but I really don't have the time. I'm with you that Just Tires and Goodyear suck, but I knew that from the time I had my first car, which came with Goodyears on it. My last bit of advice is to anyone. DON'T ever skimp on tires to save a couple bucks. It could easily be the difference between life and death. Get the absolute best you can afford. That's all.

Tony

Tony,

Thanks for the info on tires. You're right about the price to quality ratio of GoodYear Tires. It might be a better angle for the site.

Take care.

Your web is well received. But, I must say most of the problems experienced were your fault......1) Shopping price.....you get what you pay for!!! 2) Buying Good Year tires at all, They are TRASH, many in the auto industry call them "One Year's" 3) You have the Internet at your disposal, check on what you are purchasing. And most of all TWO of the most important systems on your vehicle are Brakes and Tires and most "price shoppers" and tightwads such as yourself will buy the cheapest thing they can find. You created the mess..........deal with it and chalk it up to experience.....Did you learn? I doubt it .....I would bet you do not even know the brand of tire on your car now.....do you?

I have been a just tires employee for 8 years and I have seen your kind before. You have a problem with one store and take it out on the rest of the stores. You obviously have way to much time on your hands to go to such lenths to get your point across. You seriously need to get a life, and get over it.

Thanks for your email. Nope, I don't have too much time on my hands. That was a quick web page I set up in minutes and will last for more years to come. Time well spent.

Oh, I am not taking my problem out on ALL GoodYear reataliers or ALL GoodYear affiliated stores. It is a single retailer that is doing that. This single retailer could have taken taken the correct route and helped the customer but fell short thinking nobody would find out. It's their fault and they didn't care and continue not to care what they did to the GoodYear name. The blame goes to them. They can correct the situation at any time. Remember, I didn't go out and buy tires and try to get ripped off.

Again, thanks for your response.

Kevin :)

I was just surfing tonight and found your website. It seems that yes, you did get overcharged for your tires. However it would also seem that for the sake of $60 you have gone a little overboard, in my opinion. Having just returned from a vacation trip to Florida, I had a blowout on one of the Goodyear tires on Our 5th wheel trailer. After changing it I drove off the interstate to a filling station where I asked a Florida State trooper where to find the nearest Goodyear dealer. I was given excellent directions to the store in Tampa and drove there post haste. I was treated very well by the employees at that store and was sold a tire and got back on my way toward Michigan soon after. I passed a couple of other tire stores to go to the Goodyear store, since I believe in matching the tires you have. I'm not complaining about the tires I have or the tire that I purchased. I had about 35,000 miles on the one that blew out and the other three as well. I still had a brand new spare that I put on to replace the old one, and bought a brand new tire to replace the spare. The total cost of the tire was $93.50 at the Tampa store. I told the sales person that I would like to buy two other tires soon, but would wait until I got home. The other day I went to our local DISCOUNT TIRE CO store and was quoted a price of only $78.00. Well, sir, I was delighted to know that I found the same tire for $15.50 less. I'm disappointed that I had to pay as much as I did for the one that I had to buy while on our way home. However, I feel wasting a couple of years with an exaggerated web cite would be rather silly. Don't you think that after over three years it is about time you get on with your life and give up this fight. I'm sure that with all of the time that has transpired you have probably already worn out the tires and had to replace them by now. If you have a Discount Tire store near you give them a try.

If I could e-mail the owners of the site I would but they are not brave enough to have an e-mail address on this site, however after reading all the trash on the site I realize that this uneducated consumer should be taken for ride every time if possible. This is just some foolish buyer thinking someone else sould be responsible for thier not being prepared.

A satisfied JustTires customer;

Kevin,

Sorry, didn't mean to insult you. I thought that I had seen an update for
March of 2000 when I read through your site. That was what I thought anyway,
thus the basis for my remark. I would like to compliment you though for the
site. It is obivous you are much more computer literate than I will ever
hope to be. Hope you have better luck the next time you make a tire purchase.

Tom.

I agree u should have gotten your money but to bad mouth the entire co is wrong I personally have delt with a goodyear co owned store in stuart fla were I can say they truely bent over backwards to satisfy any & all my vech needs from warranty repairs on service, tires,& even if a week went buy & I found a coupon they would honor & give me a cash refund if there was a diffrence in there already reasonable price so for all the bad things u can find in this co or maybe in yourself make the difference by being positive & compassionate just think if the store mngr would have put him self in your shoes you would have your money now

Thanks for your message. It sounds like you found a great store. It's too bad that I found a bad one.

On a different note, there are a few messages similar to yours that are on the site. I haven't updated the "email" sections of the site in a year or so. I will place your message there.

Take care.
